Decoding of the VMS-application folio – 640 views
In this document, we provide a comprehensive decipherment of the entire folio 57v, which contains a text specifically directed towards the scribes. The text offers guidance on various aspects, including the usage and shaping of glyphs, the meanings of rarely used glyphs and abbreviations, design considerations, spelling hints, and behavioural and moral advice pertaining to the handling of the original material and the implementation of the cipher. Furthermore, through our decipherment, we gain insights into the intentions of the codex creators, which are briefly summarized in the concluding section of this document.
